Biography

Katelyn Romsa is an associate professor of counseling and human development at ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ. Romsa and her husband, Bryan, reside in Brookings with their four children: Grace, John, Joe and Jake.

Prior to coming to SDSU, Romsa was a faculty member at Minnesota State University, Mankato, where she received her doctorate in counselor education and supervision. Romsa also has experience working in a college counseling center, as a recruitment and retention coordinator and as a sophomore initiatives coordinator.

Romsa is coordinator of the Administration of Student Affairs (M.Ed.) and College Counseling (M.S.) programs at SDSU. She publishes and presents on the following topics: student-faculty interactions as predictors of college student retention and satisfaction, factors affecting the college choice of NCAA student athletes and supervision models to maximize graduate student success.
