����Ӱ�� Theatre and Dance’s fall 2025 musical production of “Thrill Me: The Leopold and Loeb Story” has been selected to be presented at the 58th annual Region 5 American College Theater Festival Conference in Rochester, Minnesota, on Jan. 20. To help defray the costs of taking the production to Rochester, a one-night-only fundraising performance of the show will be presented at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, at the Fishback Studio Theatre in the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center on the SDSU campus.

A new holiday installation is lighting up McCrory Gardens’ annual Garden Glow thanks to the collaborative work of students in ����Ӱ��’s School of Performing Arts. As part of a 400-level scenic painting course, students recreated the “12 Days of Christmas” illustrations designed by associate professor of theatre Billy Wilburn.

START-SD-Impact hosts innovative learning workshop

The ����Ӱ�� Collegiate Crop Judging Team brought home numerous high scores at recent regional and national collegiate competitions.

More than 125 scholarships totaling more than $650,000 were awarded last week as part of the ����Ӱ�� College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences Scholarship and Recognition Banquet. The annual celebration of student achievement honored students representing every department within the college.

����Ӱ�� undergraduates showcased their agriculture industry internship experiences at Precision Connect 2025.

����Ӱ�� instructor of low brass Bradley Snyder will present a faculty recital at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, in Founders Recital Hall at the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center.

����Ӱ�� held its ninth annual Swine Day at Club 71 in Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium on Nov. 4. Organized by university swine research and extension personnel, the daylong event offered attendees a full day of learning and connection.

As part of a tradition that is uniquely South Dakota, the 2025 Dean’s Pheasant Hunt took place last week. The annual event highlights the relationship between agriculture and conservation, two topics important to the ����Ӱ�� College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences, but also two of the main contributors to the South Dakota economy.

The ����Ӱ�� Soil Judging Team made an impressive showing at the recent National Collegiate Soil Judging Region 5 competition, garnering first-place awards in both the team and individual categories. Helping to bring home the team’s overall first-place score was individual top winner Luke Desmith, a senior agronomy major from Walnut Grove, Minnesota.
