����Ӱ��’s School of Performing Arts invites the public to an engaging evening of French flute music at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 26. The concert will take place in Founders Recital Hall at the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center on the SDSU campus.

This Saturday, the ����Ӱ�� Department of Animal Science is partnering with the SDSU Athletics to host the 54th annual SDSU Pork Classic.

����Ӱ�� Theatre and Dance’s fall 2025 musical production of “Thrill Me: The Leopold and Loeb Story” has been selected to be presented at the 58th annual Region 5 American College Theater Festival Conference in Rochester, Minnesota, on Jan. 20. To help defray the costs of taking the production to Rochester, a one-night-only fundraising performance of the show will be presented at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, at the Fishback Studio Theatre in the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center on the SDSU campus.

A new holiday installation is lighting up McCrory Gardens’ annual Garden Glow thanks to the collaborative work of students in ����Ӱ��’s School of Performing Arts. As part of a 400-level scenic painting course, students recreated the “12 Days of Christmas” illustrations designed by associate professor of theatre Billy Wilburn.

During their first seminar, the 22 members of the South Dakota Agricultural and Rural Leadership Class XIII cohort visited the ����Ӱ�� College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences last week to learn about the wide-reaching impact of the college, and the university, on agriculture in the state of South Dakota.

Jill Alms, an agricultural research manager and specialist, has been named ����Ӱ��’s Civil Service Employee of the Month for December.

Nick Erickson, a senior electrical engineering major from Pierce, Nebraska, Erickson is the recipient of the major scholarship — the Center for Power Systems Studies Outstanding Senior Scholarship — a $5,000 award. Also,

����Ӱ�� instructor of low brass Bradley Snyder will present a faculty recital at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, in Founders Recital Hall at the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center.

Nicholus Hayen, a law enforcement officer with the University Police Department, has been named ����Ӱ��’s Civil Service Employee of the Month for November.
