Event Details

SDSU Students
This event is designed for students, especially those in (allied) health fields, who want to learn about using clear communication to inform patients and the public about complex health issues. At the event, we will first screen the 2021 documentary Virulent, which explores the history of vaccinations (and public discourse about them) in the U.S. Then, we will hold a panel discussion about how communicate about complex health issues with a local physician (Dr. Andrew Ellsworth), a representative from ImmunizeSD, and faculty from Pharmacy, Nursing, Health Communication, and Crisis Leadership in Healthcare. There will also be time for audience questions.
