This presentation will explore the religious themes and imagery found in the James Bond canon. Presenting an overview of his upcoming edited volume, Dr. Tsakiridis approaches the subject of religion and popular culture through the person of James Bond, specifically discussing his evaluation of the most recent film, No Time to Die. Following are appearances by Dr. Potts, School of American and Global Studies, and Dr. Palmer, Ness School of Management and Economics, who contributed chapters to the volume on Andean religious traditions in Quantum of Solace and just war theory in relation to the James Bond comic strips, respectively. The evening will culminate with a question and answer session, inviting participants into a dialogue on this iconic figure from popular culture.
