Driving the Cattle Home
Two men lead their cattle back to the barn.
This week’s Throwback Thursday shows two young men driving their cattle home. The cows would graze in the fields away from the barn to give them a chance to feed on fresh grass and stretch their legs. After being put out to graze, Holsteins needed to be driven home for milking. Everyone in the family had a job, and these young men were in charge of the cattle.
