Intersections: Selections from the Collections
"Intersections" brings together 2D and 3D works from the South Dakota Art Museum’s collection, placing them in direct dialogue to reveal unexpected visual and conceptual connections.
Highlights include Stephen Henslin’s steel sculpture "Young Man’s Fancy Turning," whose dynamic lines echo the figure in Richard Lindner’s screen print "Man – Back View."
Michael Warrick’s mixed wood sculpture "The Healing Place" is paired with an installation of five of Georgiana Kettler’s lithographs from her "Goddess Mounds" series, presented together for the first time in many years.
Through these pairings, the exhibition invites visitors to explore form, line and composition across media, offering new perspectives on familiar works.
Artists included in the exhibition: Stephen Henslin | Steve Keister | Georgiana Kettler | Richard Lindner | Daniel Packard | Larry Poons | Michael Warrick
