Studio Art (BFA) – Painting Specialization
Inspiring Creative Communities
Become a professional artist. You are passionate about your art, and you want to share your talents with the world. This program will help you develop both the creative and professional skills you need for a future as a studio artist in today’s global art communities.
The painting area engages students with historical and contemporary approaches to painting in various media. Students develop a foundation of technical knowledge while investigating conceptual possibilities through studio practice and critical dialogue with faculty and peers.
A major in studio art with a painting specialization prepares graduates for careers as fine artists, graduate study in fine arts and entry-level positions in art.
