The Wintrode Student Success and Opportunity Center is a hub for everything related to student success at SDSU. The Opportunity Center supports educational access for all students.

The First-Year Advising Center is designed to help students transition to college and build a firm academic foundation. Academic advisors in the First-Year Advising Center work with most incoming first-year students and all students who have not declared a major.

SDSU students can receive free tutoring in select courses through scheduled appointments or walk-in sessions. We also offer free supplemental instruction for a wide range of courses. Tutoring and supplemental instruction are provided for all students who want to improve their understanding of course material, improve their grades and increase their self-confidence about course material.

SDSU offers two TRIO programs that support first-generation and income-eligible students in college access, preparation and success. Both programs provide proactive support systems that increase the probability of student success and graduation from college.

The Academic Success and Recovery Program supports students who are currently on probation or have been readmitted to ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ following suspension. We believe that all students deserve the opportunity to succeed, and we are committed to helping you achieve your potential.

Summer Bridge partners with ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ’s early orientation programs. Students participating in an early orientation program move in early and engage in a variety of activities that ease their transition to college.
